Percutaneous Ventricular Restoration in Chronic Heart Failure due to Ischemic Heart Disease
Brief Description Of Study
This is a study of the Parachute Implant device in patients with heart failure. Patients in this study will be those with heart failure due to coronary artery disease. The patients will be randomly assigned to receive the implant device or to receive continued medical management for their heart condition. The Parachute Implant will be implanted into the part of the left ventricle that is not functioning well, isolating that part of the heart. Thus providing improved function of the heart by decreasing the functional chamber volume. All patients in this study will be followed for up to five years with office visits, echocardiograms, six minute walk tests, EKGs and adverse event assessments.
